Thank you for being a part of this community of like-minded individuals with fasting.


I can't stress this enough that fasting is merely a tool to get you where you want to be. To me, one of the most important components of our journey, alongside our fasting efforts, is to be aware of our hormonally driven emotions and our inner dialogue and what we allow when our emotions and hormones send us those signals.


This deliberate practice of mindful awareness is not anything I'd expect anyone to master or finish in a definitive timetable, I feel it's something you should practice daily. Meditate daily if you don't already. If you need assistance on how to get started implementing meditation, I highly recommend the resources I've linked below.


Lastly, this journey of using fasting as a tool to reach your goals is just that, a journey. Don't rush it, don't hope for it to "hurry up and be done already." This is the beautiful journey of your life. Savor it, enjoy those fulfilling moments of celebration with family, friends and experiences that fill you up... but, know that you can enjoy these moments while using a mindful mindset (with fasting) throughout these times to keep you on your path towards the goal you set for yourself.


You can get there. Balance, self-compassion, self-awareness and a growth mindset.
