Each of us has things in our lives that we stress, worry about, and struggle with.
Before finding fasting, my struggle was always my body size and overall health. My only means to deal with the emotional ups and downs for my entire life was gorging myself with food.
If this is you, you can still overcome your struggle.
As hard as it can be to accept, the struggles, challenges, and hardships we face can be opportunities for growth and change.
Currently, my struggles have since evolved from an emotional eating disorder to now struggling to survive widowhood in a stable single-parent household.
I started The Fasting Focused Lifestyle in January 2020 after seeing the repeated feedback I received from candidly sharing my fasting journey thus far.
I openly gave tips and advice to friends who asked, but I felt a deep pull that told me, there are so many more people around the world that could use my help.
For those who have connected with me thus far, you may have gotten incredible insight, information, and inspiration. But did you also know how much it means to me? The feedback I continue to receive from others fuels the reason why I started altogether.
While I completely (and truly) understand the financial constraints limiting folks from feeling like they can connect with me, I want to give a reminder that I can still help.
My goal has always been (and will continue to be) to be the change I wish to see in the world. I never want anyone to suffer in health if it's something I feel can be remedied with a fasting lifestyle. The data and studies on the benefits of fasting continue to pour in and I'm so proud and excited to be a part of this cultural reawakening of this innate and instinctual healing potential within each and every one of us.
While I truly wish I could afford to spend more time consulting with everyone at no cost, there are a couple of things you should know. There are studies that show adherence to lifestyle modifications is more likely to be permanent when there is an investment or "buy-in" for your future health. Also, I want to remind folks that The Fasting Focused Lifestyle was created and continues to exist being run by just me. I have no big office or staff assisting me, just a desk in the corner of my bedroom. The funds that are paid for all consultations contribute towards supporting my small business. It also helps me to keep a roof over my family's heads, pay the power bill, and contributes towards food and other household expenses. And for all this, I am beyond grateful.
Now that the holiday season is here, I have a kind and supportive message for you all to remember:
If you need support, guidance, or insight to help you get the best out of your fasting experience, I am here, I truly care about you, and I believe in you, even if you don't.
-Vicki
